WEAVING & UPCYCLING: Rag Weaving Techniquee

Weaving is a traditional textile-making technique used to create fabric by interlacing two sets of threads at right angles to each other. With this technique, an infinite world of creative possibilities opens up! Passionate about weaving, Mathilde will guide you and share her experience throughout the workshop.

You will create one (or even two) unique woven piece! You can choose to frame it, hang it, or display it on furniture to decorate your home. This workshop is designed for beginners.

You will discover the basics of frame weaving, with an explanation of the concept of classic weaves such as plain weave or twill. This workshop focuses on rag weaving—using strips of fabric (called lirettes in french). We will be working with recycled textiles. Giving new life and purpose to existing materials is what we call upcycling, a core value at Resyne.

Everything you need will be provided: a weaving frame, shuttles, comb, and a selection of colorful and textured fabric strips. You can (it’s not required!) bring inspiration images—we’ll look at them together and see how to interpret them in your weaving.

This workshop is open to everyone! It takes place in our boutique & studio, around a large shared table. A hot or cold drink and a healthy snack will be offered. See you soon!

CANCELLATION POLICY - A minimum of 2 participants must be reached for the workshop to take place.

Cancellation by the participant

- More than 2 days before the start of the course: you can cancel your registration by notifying us in writing (e-mail, text message, post) at least 2 days before the start of the session. In this case, a full refund will be made or, if you prefer, a transfer to another session may be offered, subject to availability.

- Less than 2 days before the start of the course: Any cancellation made less than 2 days before the start of the session will not be refunded but may be transferred.

Cancellation by the workshop

In the event of cancellation on our part for reasons beyond your control (insufficient number of participants, logistical problems, etc.), you will be refunded in full or given the option of transferring your registration to another session, at your convenience.

Refunds will be made within 14 days of receipt of the cancellation request, subject to compliance with the above conditions.
